This is a handmade large live edge Charcuterie Board/Cutting Board. This item is made from local California black walnut.
All Geppetta boards are made with wood that is 100% food safe. Each board is hand selected, sanded, branded and then conditioned with my proprietary wood conditioner of 100% food safe mineral oil and 100% Local beeswax.
As these boards are made organically, no two of them will be the same. I work with the natural curves and shapes of the tree to size and shape each board.
Each board will have a beautiful handle that is sculpted into the wood, with a hole in the end which allows it to be hung for drying and displaying when not in use.
My inspiration for these handle boards are the many hours I have spent in Italian kitchens. Always by my grandmothers side as well as my aunts I witnessed how the cutting board/charcuterie board was an essential tools in the kitchen. It was a multipurpose tool. They used their board regularly for chopping and they also used it for displaying their dried meats, salamis, fruits, olives and tomatoes!

Cleaning of your Geppetta board is simple. Gently wash with warm water and soap, thoroughly air dry. Add mineral oil or a butcher block conditioner to keep it vibrant. You are purchasing an heirloom piece that is a one-of-a-kind cheeseboard, serving platter, charcuterie board, grazing board.
