These bowls are hand carved and each have unique character. Due to the handmade nature, bowls are not identical. Bowls may include worm markings, knots and other distinguishing features.

Bowls make a statement or centerpiece in any farmhouse style or rustic home. Please note, these bowls are not food safe. If you wanted to serve dry foods, such as chips, place a towel in the bowl before placing Hand hewned, these rustic wooden dough boards(bateas) are solid and great looking.

Please understand that the sizes will vary slightly. These dough bowls are great decorating pieces atop a kitchen island with fresh fruit, on a bathroom counter with hand towels or simply filled with your favorite scented candles. The natural brown on the them is beautiful.

NOTE: Please understand that these bowls are a natural handmade product and will never be perfect. That is what makes them rustic and beautiful. Tone, smoothness, shape etc, all rustic and never machine made. Please keep that in mind when you buy these.

Material

All Geppetta boards are made with wood that is 100% food safe. Each board is hand selected, sanded, branded and then conditioned with my proprietary wood conditioner of 100% food safe mineral oil and 100% Local beeswax.

As these boards are made organically, no two of them will be the same. I work with the natural curves and shapes of the tree to size and shape each board.

All boards are of Heirloom Quality.

Care Instructions

Cleaning of your Geppetta board is simple. Gently wash with warm water and soap, thoroughly air dry. Add mineral oil or a butcher block conditioner to keep it vibrant. You are purchasing an heirloom piece that is a one-of-a-kind cheeseboard, serving platter, charcuterie board, grazing board.
